2002-07-09 7:50 a.m. oh man, I AM MAAAAD!!!! yesterday the secretary comes into my office, while Edge 102 is airing something really really disgusting. i would tell you about this disgusting thing they were airing over the radio, but i don't want to disturb my young readers. so, the secretary says: "man, this radio station is so disgusting! i don't know who put this station on." i think she might have been thinking it was me. i say, "yeah, i know. i don't wanna hear this stuff. i tried to change the station once, but someone changed it back to this one". about a month ago i changed it to 97.7 hitz fm cause i wanted to ROCK! but it only lasted for 3 days and then someone changed it. i think i know EXACTLY who wants to listen to the Edge. it's not my boss cause he likes country. it has to be the guy in the office next to mine. i think he thinks i would enjoy it. one day he came into my office and was like "do you like the hives? my kids are crazy about the hives". i said i hadn't heard of them to avoid me saying something mean. okay okay, the hives aren't that bad. they're fun to rock out to at the red square. that's all i'm gonna say about them though... so, back to yesterday...the secretary tells me that i can change the station. wicked! so i change it to Oldies 104. they played some really awesome stuff, like the velvet underground. most of the other stuff they played i didn't recognize, but REALLY REALLY enjoyed! i figure, i might as well educate myself while i'm here and get into some good old music...BUT... today i come into the office and it's changed BACK to the Edge!!! arg!!! and i KNOW it's that man with the office next to mine because he's the only one in the office, besides me, today! i'm thinking of going in there and changing it back to Oldies 104. THIS MEANS WAR!!! but the Edge is playing the talking heads right now. WHAT?! okay, i'll keep it on for this song, but when it's over, THE WAR IS ON!!! alright, i'm gonna make this entry pretty long cause i absolutely have to tell you all about my new FAVOURITE tv show. i hardly ever even touch the tv, except for watching cartoons, but i've gotten into this show aired on much music by MTV, called "Becoming". it's where teenagers get to live out all their fantasies of becoming their favourite pop or rock star! it's so hilarious cause EVERY episode is the same: the camera crew mysteriously gets into the bedroom, without waking the kid up, and the kid is woken up to find out they're becoming destiny's child, blink 182, britney spears or whoever. if there's more than one kid needed for the music video, the one kid who was woken up by the camera crew SOMEHOW finds their friends hanging out at a coffee shop, where they tell their friends, "WE'RE BECOMING _________!!!"(fill in with some crappy band name). the kids are taken in a limo, learn dance moves...but the BEST part of the show is when the kids go back to the swanky hotel room and find all the products that their favourite stars use. isn't it strange that EVERY star uses an xbox and sony walkmans and nike shoes and whatever. that part is just one big commercial. then the wardrobe person comes, they get a makeover to look like their star, they record the music video, blah, blah, blah. when the music video is aired at the end, it always looks identical to the real music video. woooooweeee!!! the thing about this show is that the kids on it are so unbelievable. i sware they're all actors. nuno came up with the great idea of having a show called "becoming becoming", where REAL kids get to act out their favourite video from the show "becoming". haha! does that make any sense? yes, it does. at first this show was agonizing for me to watch, but like a car wreck, i can't turn the channel or look away. it's so bad, that's it's good! okay, that's all i'm gonna say today...that, and happy birthday gab! |
